Blatant, overt racism

February 25, 2009

No surprise that it is coming from the left and there will be no media outrage over it.
Two members of the extreme far left media, who have freely admitted their extremist political bias, made flat out, unequivocal racist comments about the non-white governor of Louisiana.

First it was Helen Thomas making racially charged and negative comments about “Slumdog Millionaire” in reference to the Governor, who is of Indian decent.

Then it was Chris Matthews of the “Obama Network” using racist language to describe the governor’s speech.

The only thing more outrageous than this flat out racism from members of the press is the silence of the far left who bring the charge of racism against any perceived slight against our Dear Leader.

FBI raids lobbing office with ties to democrat Congress Critter John Murtha

February 10, 2009

ABC broke the story of the FBI raiding the PMA Group, which was founded by former Murtha aide Paul Magliochetti and specializes in winning earmarked taxpayer funds for its clients.

The ABC story doesn’t mention which party congressman John Murtha is a member of. This means that he is, of course, a democrat.

Meanwhile, in Kentucky

February 2, 2009

Joshuapundit asks:

Imagine a disaster where at least a million Americans are without power in the dead of winter, 46 people have died and the president and FEMA are nowhere to be found.

We don’t have to imagine. That is what is happening in Kentucky.

Utility crews renewed work in subfreezing temperatures Saturday in their effort to put the power back on for nearly a million customers left in the dark by an ice storm that crippled parts of several states this week.

Thousands of people in ice-caked Kentucky awoke in motels and shelters, asked to leave their homes by authorities who said emergency teams in some areas were too strapped to reach everyone in need of food, water and warmth.

Local officials grew angrier at what they said was a lack of help from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

In Kentucky’s Grayson County, about 80 miles southwest of Louisville, Emergency Management Director Randell Smith said the 25 National Guardsmen who have responded have no chain saws to clear fallen trees. He said roads are littered with fallen trees and people shivering in bone-chilling cold are in need.

“We’ve got people out in some areas we haven’t even visited yet,” Smith said. “We don’t even know that they’re alive.”

How is President Obama responding to this crisis? First by cranking up the heat in the Oval Office. Our Dear Leader‘s senior adviser, David Axelrod, describes it. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.” Step two to responding to American’s dying in the cold is to throw expensive dinner parties.

Where is our “watchdog” media in this time of crisis?

Meanwhile, here in the Peoples Commonwealth…

Democrat Salvatore DiMasi will resign as Massachusetts House Speaker after a scandal filled reign.

The Boston Globe notes that he is the third Massachusetts House Speaker to end their term in scandal and corruption. What the Globe doesn’t state is that DiMasi, Flaherty and Finneran are all democrats.

The democrat culture of corruption is alive and thriving in Massachusetts.

How long will the press be dictated to?

January 18, 2009

There are things about BHO that are indicators of how he will run the executive branch. One telling one is how he deals with the press.
Warner Todd Huston notes in NewsBusters:

According to Sun-Times columnist and long-time Chicago journalist, Carol Marin, journalists at Barack Obama news conferences have come to realize that Obama has pre-picked those journalists whom he will allow to ask him questions at the conference and many of them now “don’t even bother raising” their hands to be called upon.

Carol Marin writes:

As ferociously as we march like villagers with torches against Blagojevich, we have been, in the true spirit of the Bizarro universe, the polar opposite with the president-elect. Deferential, eager to please, prepared to keep a careful distance.

A big part of BHO’s sky high approval ratings comes from a fawning press eager to please him. At some point, those “journalists” who aren’t getting called on are going to want something to keep their own circulation numbers up. Our Dear Leader needs to keep this in mind, and that bad news sells.

AP Rewriting History

December 2, 2008

AP is spinning like a top, and predictably to the left.
Slublog at AoSHQ points out that the AP is trying to rewrite history to make the Mortgage meltdown solely the fault of President G.W. Bush.
Slublog writes:

The article doesn’t mention Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, or the Community Reinvestment Act. It blames the crisis on lack of government regulation and too much trust in “market forces.” As Investor’s Business Daily points out, it wasn’t the Bush administration who opposed such regulation.

In 2003, Bush’s Treasury secretary, John Snow, proposed what the New York Times called “the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.” Did Democrats in Congress welcome it? Hardly.
“I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis,” declared Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., in a response typical of those who viewed Fannie and Freddie as a party patronage machine that the GOP was trying to dismantle. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” added Sen. Thomas Carper, D-Del.

It seems the media is not content to simply cover for the Democrats for their role in causing this crisis – they’ve got to find a way to completely blame George W. Bush even if that means rewriting history.

In honor of the upcoming reign of Our Dear Leader, AP is giving up completely on Reality.

It’s official…

…the staff at MSNBC are not living in the shared reality of rational, thinking adults. Newbusters has the latest bit of proof.

File this one under “Deluded Expectations.” During MSNBC’s coverage of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, on Thursday, daytime anchor Alex Witt seemed frustrated that the election of Barack Obama 23 days earlier — and the accompanying “global outpouring of affection, respect, hope” — had not caused an end to terrorist violence.

HT to Hot Air.

Welcome to Reality Obamabots.

Even the Hollywood left thinks MSNBC is "completely out of control"

October 29, 2008

Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, who produced many campaign videos for the Clintons as well as several hit TV shows says that she’d “prefer a lunch date with right-leaning Fox News star Sean Hannity over left-leaning MSNBC star Keith Olbermann?”.

You have to be pretty far off the deep end of rational for a group of Hollywood liberals to accuse a “news” organization of liberal media bias.

Ms. Bloodworth-Thomason went on to say that “Democrats have been worse than Republicans as far as personal attacks on candidates are concerned.”
