Speaking troof to stupidity

The Varmint does it:

Neurotics build castles in the air.

Psychoitcs live in them.

Retards think Bush & Halifburton destroyed the castle in a controled demolition.

What it takes to be Troofer

September 10, 2007

John Ross lists some of the mental gymnastics required to drink the 9/11 Conspiracy Kool-Aid:

First, you’d have to believe that the U.S. Government — seemingly incapable of keeping even mundane national security programs off the front page of the New York Times — orchestrated a hermetically sealed coverup of epic proportions.

Second, you’d have to believe that Sandy Berger’s destruction of classified 9/11 documents was unrelated to the Clinton administration’s ignorance of and incompetence at deterring terrorists.

Third, you’d have to ignore Usama bin Laden’s self-proclaimed involvement with 9/11 and his assertion that the attacks caught the United States completely by surprise. In effect, you’d have to believe that bin Laden lied and people died — all to benefit the Bush administration.

Once again, Liberals just make shit up…

August 27, 2007

Or to put a bit more bluntly, they have to to LIE in order to promote their agenda.
Today’s example, former congresscritter from Colorado, uber-liberal democrat Pat Schroeder used results from a single poll to make the following statement,

“The Karl Roves of the world have built a generation that just wants a couple of slogans: ‘No, don’t raise my taxes, no new taxes.’ It’s pretty hard to write a book saying, ‘No new taxes, no new taxes, no new taxes,’ on every page.”

SF Chronicle columnist Debra Saunders did actual real reporting and examined the poll the hard far left extremist Schroeder referenced. The results she found make the liberal democrat pat Schroeder either to have a severe reading comprehension problem, or is a flat out liar.

Maybe you shouldn’t pay any attention to me. According to Schroeder, as a conservative, I’ve got a bumper sticker for brains. Silly me, I looked into the poll – which liberals have hailed as proof of their intellectual superiority – and there’s not a lot there in “the whole picture.” The poll found that among people polled who read at least one book in the last year, liberals read nine books and conservatives read eight.

When I called Michael Gross, associate vice president of Ipsos public affairs, to find out more about the Ipsos poll, he told me the one-book difference “is within the margin of error, it’s not a statistically significant difference.”

Then again, because the poll did not ask people if they read newspapers or magazines, Gross noted, “I don’t think it says anything about people’s general level of information.”

Then there’s the quality issue. A person could read nine romance novels in a year and qualify as Aristotelian by Schroeder’s logic.

In her rush to brand the right as bunch of illiterates, Schroeder had the poor sense to go after an avid reader, Karl Rove, who has been winning a heated competition with President Bush as to which of the two can read the most books. Rove recently told Rush Limbaugh that he beat Bush last year. The Score: Rove, 110 books; Bush, 94.

Once again, it becomes clear that the far left extremists have to actively avoid the truth (i.e. they have to lie) in order to promote their agenda.

It’s official…

August 25, 2007

…the hard far left liberal extremists have gone off the deep end, or depending on how you view the situation, reveled their true imperialistic nature.
Captain Ed has the details of the rants over at HuffPo.

The Huffington Post published a plea to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs today to arrest George Bush for “conduct unbecoming” — essentially, a military coup against the elected government of the United States. Martin Lewis claims that the military can arrest a President while not conducting a coup d’etat by focusing only on his role as Commander in Chief of the military:

General Pace – you have the power to fulfill your responsibility to protect the troops under your command. Indeed you have an obligation to do so.

You can relieve the President of his command.

Not of his Presidency. But of his military role as Commander-In-Chief. …

In addition to relieving him of his command as Commander-In-Chief, you also have authority to place the President under MILITARY arrest.

Lewis quotes extensively from the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but clearly his scholarship does not extend to the Constitution. The command of the armed forces follows from the president’s election to office, and cannot be separated from the office itself. Bush isn’t C-in-C because he got appointed to that position, but because the American electorate voted him into that role. In other words, the military cannot arrest the C-in-C but leave the President in power, and to argue otherwise is to demonstrate complete ignorance.

Secondly, the President does not serve at the pleasure of the Joint Chiefs — and indeed, the military is subservient to the civilian command structure. They do not have arrest authority over the President — nor over anyone else in the US other than military personnel, as the Posse Comitatus Act stipulates. Civilian oversight keeps the military from seizing power and is a long and vital tradition in this nation. It’s what keeps us from becoming a banana republic, run by military strongmen.

Lewis wants to turn America into just that kind of nation. His Bush-hatred runs so deep that he would willingly see the military take control over the federal government just to get rid of him. The Left likes to talk about supposed fascism among conservatives, but the Huffington Post is literally calling for a military coup to reverse an election, not only an un-Constitutional act but also the kind of authoritarian rule they supposedly despise.

Things like the Constitution don’t matter to the so-called “progressive” left. It is all about the raw, naked lust for power.

Cause & Effect

August 25, 2007

Reason Magazine reports:

Following the 1996 Dunblane school massacre, in which seventeen people were killed by a man armed with two 9mm pistols, Britain passed a law outlawing the ownership of most handguns, despite researchers finding “no link between high levels of gun crime and areas where there were still high levels of lawful gun possession.” It’s a law so severe that the Britain’s Olympic shooting team is forced to train abroad, lest one of its members try to shoot up a grammar school. So how effective has the law been? A doubling in gun-related crimes since the ban, naturally.

The results were quite predictable by anybody with a clue.

An interesting observation on the London Terror Attacks

July 1, 2007

The folks at WizBangBlog note:

As you may know (but not if you rely only on left-wing “weblogs” for your news), London recently averted a potentially catastrophic double car-bomb attack. In addition, only a day later a flaming SUV rammed into the Glasgow airport.

And what do our lefty Internet pals have to say about these horrid events? Well, as of this writing, not too bloody much. At the front page of the Daily Kos, for example, you’ll find nary a discussion of these twin terrorist plots. Apparently, endless ruminations on the impeachment of President Bush are far more popular.

At the “weblog” of the liberal American Prospect, you won’t find anything either. The staff of the Prospect is too shell-shocked over recent Supreme Court decisions to discuss terrorism–though they didn’t prevent them from “posting” on more nugatory topics such as China’s labor laws.

We only wish we could say the same thing for the loveable loons at The Huffington Post. But no: The Huffy Po dutifully relayed reports of the attacks on their main page, only to be greeted with reader comments claiming they must be CIA plots. Oh, dear.

Quite frankly, dear reader, this speaks to a disgusting malaise amongst the Democratic base. These folks detest President Bush so much that they are fundamentally incapable of seeing the dangers of terrorism. As such, they simply close their eyes and pretend that Islamofascism isn’t a threat to the West.

The lead story in today’s Boston Globe, “Rage on the Bikeway”, the London Terror Attacks are relegated to page A5

The Globe story states that one of the attackers of Glasgow Airport was shouting “Allah! Allah!” while he was one fire.

Pointing out the BIG point they are obviously missing

June 29, 2007

From the Washington Times:

At yesterday’s Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing on Islamic extremism in Europe, a dozen anti-war Code Pink activists were in attendance.

When the hearing broke for a Senate floor vote, the leader of the group signaled for the others to begin shouting in unison: “Senator Collins, stop funding the war.” Meanwhile, two of the activists frantically searched through their congressional directory, trying to figure out what state the senator represented. One announced, “M.E.,” at which point the other said brightly, “That stands for Maine.”

By the end of the hearing, the group leader once again motioned to her comrades, and immediately they began shouting: “Senator Lieberman, stop funding the war.”

At which point a woman sitting beside the protesters stood up to leave, but on her way out she issued this oral warning to one of the protesters: “If the jihadis win, you’ll be wearing a burqa and it won’t be pink.”

Perhaps it is because the “Code Pink” fanatics are so focused on making sure that America loses, they can not see the obvious results of the enemies of Freedom winning.

Funny, but sadly true…

From Cold Fury, You might be a liberal if…

You think “the War on Terror” is a bumper-sticker slogan but “Free Tibet!”, “Safe, Legal and Rare” and “Gun-Free Zone” are not.

You think the Pledge of Allegiance, Intelligent Design, ROTC Jr., the Boy Scouts and prayer have absolutely no place in public schools…but having serial psychotropic toad-lickers and members of the Amputee Stump Fetish-Community give lectures to kindergartners is perfectly acceptable.

You think Don Imus is a fascist, bigoted hate criminal…but the prisoners in Guantanamo are misunderstood victims.

You think Guantanamo is a prison in Cuba, but Cuba isn’t itself a prison.

It’s never occurred to you that mass immigration functions as a hidden tax on working Americans…and the only thing politicians love more than a tax is a tax they don’t have to vote on.

You think this is the weakest economy in 50 years…and illegal workers are keeping it strong.

You think our biggest mistake in Iraq was not listening to the generals…who are all incompetents.

Read the whole thing.

The "Logic" of the left

Tim Blair points out:

“In the rock-scissors-paper hierarchy of the modern left, sensitivity to Islam trumps clitoral scissors every time”.

Quote of the evening

November 30, 2006

“And above all, what does being liberal have to do with opposing, or, uh, supporting the war against terror? Our enemies in the war against terror are so anti-liberal that you would think it would be liberals leaping to protect the world from these monstrous ideologies.” — Orson Scott Card
