The left’s “Deity”

April 15, 2009

I kid you not. I received the following tweet from a leftist troll today.

I’m a supporter of change the change our great and divine leader president Obama has brought to america

Let’s take a look at that statement through the eyes of a rational adult in a free society.
First off, “great and divine leader”? This leftist troll should move to North Korea, he would fit right in.
Second, note that the troll capitalized the name of his “great and divine leader”, but couldn’t be bothered to capitalize the name of the nation he lives in and provides him the freedoms to decent.

This leftist troll was complaining about American citizens exercising their First Amendment rights.
He claimed that this exercise of the basic Human Right of Free Speech was “treason” against his “great and divine leader.” This leftist troll sets his cult of personality beliefs above that of the Constitution of the United States of America. I would not be surprised if this leftist troll demonstrated the left’s typical lack of basic history by calling those who are exercising their Civil Rights “fascists.”

Team BHO isn’t letting any crisis go to waste.

April 6, 2009

Kenn Jacobine notes that our Dear Leader’s team isn’t letting the crisis in Mexico go to waste either.

It’s a chance for them to attack your basic human right of self-defense and the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. A document that is clearly in the way of Team Lightbringer’s goals.

The Netcast of the Week.

April 2, 2009

If you listen to one pod/netcast this week, make it episode 43 of Brassballs Radio.

Wendy “RightGirl” Sullivan interviews Ezra Levant about his 900 day ordeal with the Canadian so-called “Human Rights” Commission, which is actually a rigged “kangaroo court.”

Here is the first in a series of videos of one of Levant’s interrogations by the “Human Rights” commission.

Mr. Levant went on to write a book about his ordeal and how these so-called “courts” in Canada operate. Shakedown: How Our Government is Undermining Democracy in the Name of Human Rights is selling out all over Canada. It’s a wake up call for what can happen in America if the left continues to push its agenda of “political correctness.”

Barak Obama isn’t a fan of the First Amendment either

September 26, 2008

Don’t expect much Freedom of Speech under an Obama regime. He is already giving a glimpse into our possible future by threating to bringing lawsuits against broadcast stations. This is to intimidate them into not running NRA sponsored ads that tell the truth about Obama’s anti-Civil Rights, Anti-Second Amendment record.

HT to Snowflakes in Hell

Update: A damn good point is raised over at Mr. Volokh’s blog.

I fear that under the Obama administration, the lawyers sending these letters will be government employees.

I’d have to say it’s a damn near certain thing.

Why are liberals afraid to debate?

August 13, 2008

First you have Barak H. Obama going into hiding to avoid keeping his “promise” to debate Senator John McCain “anytime and anyplace.”

Next, you have Call me Ahab pointing out that leftist, anti-Civil Rights gun grabbers also fear any sort of open and honest debate. No surprise there.

You want to know the real reason why the pro-gun side is winning the battle for hearts and minds in the US – why over 70% of Americans believe that the 2nd Amendment confers and individual right to keep and bear arms, and why the Supreme Court upheld that?

A big part of it is that pro-gun people are willing to have open debate, right out there in the air. You can compare and contrast the fact that the Students for Concealed Carry’s first annual convention featured Paul Helmke. That’s righ, SCCC invited Helmke to be on one of their panels; admittedly he spent most of the time getting his ass handed to him by John Lott, but that’s okay. The fact that pro-gun people aren’t afraid of our positions and are more than willing to invite anti-gun activists to argue the issue on its merits speaks a lot about our movement.

Meanwhile, anti-gun people ban pro-gun activists from commenting, delete comments from their blogs, and generally avoid open debate like cockroaches avoid the light. I will give Paul Helmke props in that he was willing to attend that function, that was pretty out of character for an anti-gunner to do that.

The violent criminal’s friend, Barak Obama

July 15, 2008

Barak Obama Voted Four Times For Criminal Charges For Homeowners Who Use Their Guns In Self Defense.

Let’s review what this means. A criminal breaks into your home, threatens you, your spouse, your children. If you attempt to use an effective method of self-defense to protect you, your property, your spouse, or your children, liberal democrat Barak H. Obama wants you to be arrested and charged with a crime.

This is the true face of Barak H. Obama and the hard far left extremists. You are not a citizen, but a ward of the state, who should be dependent on the state for all things. You are not to be in control of anything, including the right to protect your own life and well being.

Of course, in his pursuit of power, Barak Obama lies about this:

Barack Obama specifically voted four times in the Illinois Legislature to allow criminal charges against a homeowner who used a firearm in self-defense of their person and home — specifically what the Supreme Court says is a constitutional right. Obama may say he supports it, but his record says exactly the opposite.

As Ms. Coulter said, “They win in the dark; we win in the light.”

Sunday Morning Quotes

June 29, 2008

Five years ago we were told that increased refinery and oil pumping capability in the US would do no good because it would take five years for those to affect gas pump prices. Query: if we had greatly increased supply over the past five years, would not oil be at about $75/bbl, still high, but not headed to $200? And if we do nothing to increase supply now, where will oil go? … We are in a time of national emergency, but it does not affect the politicians, who continue business as usual.
Dr. Pournelle, HT to Mr. Reynolds

Nukes are out, coal is filthy, wind power destroys Ted Kennedy’s view, and solar leads to “environment fears.” Do they just want us all to freeze in the dark? Pretty much, I’d say …
Glenn Reynolds

Gun Control? It’s the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I want you to have nothing. If I’m a bad guy, I’m always gonna have a gun. Safety locks? You pull the trigger with a lock on, and I’ll pull the trigger. We’ll see who wins.

Good News for America

The Supreme Court upheld the Second Amendment as an individual right, i.e. reserved for the people.

The left has to lie…

June 26, 2008

As I’ve pointed out before, the anti-Civil Rights Victim Disarmament crowd have to lie. The truth just doesn’t support their anti-Human Rights platform.

The latest example, by way of Mr. Reynolds, is NPR‘s own Nina Tottenberg.

Just heard her doing a bit on Heller in which she said that the Supreme Court has always construed the Second Amendment as a collective right. That’s just plain false, and at this stage she should really know better.

Let us review the facts:

“… ‘the people’ seems to have been a term of art employed in select parts of the Constitution. The Preamble declares that the Constitution is ordained, and established by ‘the people of the U.S.’ The Second Amendment protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms….” – Supreme Court of the U.S., U.S. v. Uerdugo-Uriquidez (1990).

“The states cannot, even laying the Constitutional provision out of view, prohibit the people from keeping and bearing arms so as to deprive the United States of their rightful resource for maintaining public security, and disable the people from performing their duty to general government.” — Supreme Court of the U.S., Presser v. Illinois (1886).

“The conclusion is thus inescapable that the history, concept, and wording of the Second amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as well as its interpretation by every major commentator and court in the first half-century after its ratification, indicates that what is protected is an individual right of a private citizen to own and carry firearms in a peaceful manner.”
– Report of the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the Committee on the Judiciary, United States Senate, 97th Congress, Second Session ( February 1982 )

So we have at least two Supreme Court cases, one as recent as 1990, and a finding of the Senate Judiciary Committee, all stating that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right, reserved for the people. Ms. Tottenberg is supposed to be an expert on the subject, and really should know this kind of basic material. Keep in mind that NPR has a history of ignoring the facts when it comes to the basic Human Right of effective self defense.

If the Brady Anti-Civil Rights folks told the truth…

June 16, 2008

…they wouldn’t have a case. The facts are against the anti-Civil/Human Rights Victim Disarmament crowd.

Alphecca has yet another example of this.
Even the BATF is calling them on fudging the numbers in order to lie to the American public.
