Another Hillary Clinton supporter jumps to McCain

September 18, 2008

CNN reports:

In an interview with CNN this summer, Forester did not hide her distaste for eventual Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don’t like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC’s Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

Not just any HRC supporter, but a big money donor HRC supporter.

More and more democrats who actually look at facts are coming to the conclusion that Barak H. Obama is just an empty suit who is filled with the failed socialist policies of the George Soros bought and paid for far left extremist wing of the democrat party.

Update: HRC backer Donald Trump also joins the McCain bandwagon.

PUMAs are on the prowl!

August 21, 2008

Hot Air reports:

Hillary Clinton’s supporters will not go quietly, it seems. According to a Scripps-Howard report this morning, unnamed backers of Hillary have begun a “massive” e-mail campaign insisting that she won more votes and is the only electable candidate in 2008. Perhaps, in consideration of the polling free-fall Barack Obama has experienced this summer, they may have a point (via TMV)

This should make for some interesting political theater in Denver.

Shifting democrat standards

August 16, 2008

It is interesting to watch the shifting standards for the office of President and Vice-President. Senator Quayle was attacked as being far too inexperienced to be on a Presidential ticket. He had completed two terms in the House and was on his second term in the Senate.

Obama, with fraction of that experience is now the democrat choice for the next President of the United States of America.

In 1992 and 1996, Clinton’s lack of military experience (he was an admitted draft dodger and protested against the US military on foreign soil) was not an issue when he was running against US Military combat veterans.

In 2000 & 2004, the democrat candidate’s military experience was touted as a key reason why they were more qualified to be Commander in Chief.

Now that the situation is reversed again, democrat operatives are claiming that military experience is a liability.

Barak Obama, like John Kerry before him, has never been involved in an election at a national level. Nor has he (or Kerry) ever had to run in an election where there was any serious competition (Obama actually won his first race by having the other democrat contenders removed from the primary ballot).

Denver will be interesting. The PUMAs are pissed and have a strong argument that Hillary Clinton is the more electable candidate in November.
Given that Hillary has conned Obama into giving both her and Billy Jeff speaking slots, the convention may end up being more about Bill and Hillary than Barak.

Remember that it is the Clinton’s best interest if one of two things happen:

1. Hillary managed to obtain the nomination at the convention. Low probability, but they are probably working that angle.

2. Barak H. Obama loses to the much more experienced Senator John McCain. This gives Hillary another shot at the White House in 2012.

Let’s see who really runs the show in Denver.

August 14, 2008

The George Soros bought and paid for nutroots branch of the DNC think it will be their show.

Hillary Rodham Clinton and her posse have other plans.

Maureen Dowd hits the high points of the Clinton Master Plan.

She’s amazed at how easy it was to snatch Denver away from the Obama saps. Like taking candy from a baby, except Beanpole Guy doesn’t eat candy.

Now they’ve made Barry’s convention all about them – their dissatisfaction and revisionism and barely disguised desire to see him fail. Whatever insincere words of support the Clintons muster, their primal scream gets louder: He can’t win! He can’t close the deal! We told you so!

Hillary’s orchestrating a play within the play in Denver. Just as Hamlet used the device to show that his stepfather murdered his father, Hillary will try to show the Democrats they chose the wrong savior.

Her former aide Howard Wolfson fanned the divisive flames Monday on ABC News, arguing that Hillary would have beaten Obama in Iowa and become the nominee if John Edwards’ affair had come out last year

Wednesday will be all Bill. The networks will rerun his churlish comments from Africa about Obama’s readiness to lead and his South Carolina meltdowns. TV will have more interest in a volcanic ex-president than a genteel veep choice.

Obama also allowed Hillary supporters to insert an absurd statement into the platform suggesting that media sexism spurred her loss and that “demeaning portrayals of women … dampen the dreams of our daughters.”

Oh ya, there will be some great political theater in Denver this year.

But Wait! There’s More! The Daily News reports that Hillary is bringing in her own hand picked propaganda team. Ok, she calls them a “video production team.” 😉

She’s already snagged plum speaking gigs for herself, her husband and their daughter, so what else does Hillary Clinton want at the Denver convention?

Her own production team for the introductory video.

Democratic officials told the Daily News Wednesday that the video preceding Hillary’s Aug. 26 prime-talk talk will be produced by Arkansas pals Harry Thomason and Linda Bloodworth-Thomason

Harry Thomason is the more controversial of the pair: he was involved in the firing of White House travel office employees in President Clinton’s first term, testified before a grand jury investigating the Monica Lewinsky scandal and lobbied Bill Clinton to pardon two Arkansas men in the final hours of his presidency.

Will Barak even know what hit him?

The return of Hillary Rodham Clinton

August 7, 2008

By way of Fox News:

[Hillary Rodham] Clinton said that her delegates want to have a role and feel that their “legitimacy is validated,” before the group moves forward to back Obama.

“I happen to believe that we will come out stronger if people feel that their voices were heard and their views respected. I think that is a very big part of how we actually come out unified,” Clinton, D-N.Y., said to applause.

“Because I know from just what I’m hearing, that there’s incredible pent-up desire. And I think that people want to feel like, ‘OK, it’s a catharsis, we’re here, we did it, and then everybody get behind Senator Obama.’ That is what most people believe is the best way to go,” she said.

But several of Clinton’s supporters are insistent that the former first lady get a vote on the convention floor. One self-identified delegate at the California fundraiser said a petition had been formed to put Clinton’s name on the ballot.

Remember that the margin that Barak Obama beat Hillary Clinton by in the elected/caucused delegates is smaller than the number of the democrat party overseers, also known as the so-called “Super Delegates.”

It is those democrat Party Overseers/Uber-Delegates that are going decide who is the democrat nominee, not the democrat primary voters (more of which voted for HRC than BO).

Perhaps those democrat Party Overseers are noticing that Barak H. Obama isn’t going anywhere in the polls. In fact it is Senator John McCain who got a boost in the polls after Obama’s European tour.

Hillary’s supporters are pointing this out, and perhaps HRC is making some quiet phone calls too.

Angry PUMAs

August 4, 2008

The Hillary Rodham Clinton supporters are still angry over the hostile treatment they are still getting from the DNC and the Obama faithful.

Sunday Morning Talk Shows

August 3, 2008

Former democrat operative George Swaythepopulas gave democrat Speaker of the House “San Fran Nan” Pelosi (Worst. Speaker. Ever.) free rein to spout her talking points.

Meet the Press had Senator Lieberman (moderate, sane democrat and McCain supporter) debating Senator John Kerry (far left democrat billionaire who only pays federal tax at a 12% rate, and Barak H. Obama supporter).

Update: democrat Tom Daschle, a major Obama supporter, is on Fox News Sunday. Daschle is a lying weasel. He always has been, always will be. Daschle lies boldly and with a straight face. The truth is not part of that man’s genetic makeup.

The lone Right of Center member of the Meet the Press round table made a what is probably a highly accurate prediction. He predicted that Hillary Clinton will make a good speech at the DNC, not a great speech, but a good speech. Then, in November, she will vote for John McCain.
That does make sense based on her over riding goal to take control of the White House. Her best bet to inflict her socialist policies on America is to run in 2012. She needs Senator John McCain to win in 2008 for that to happen.

Check the temperature in Satan’s summer cottage. Juan Williams is agreeing with Bill Kristol on how Obama screwed the pooch by repeatedly playing the race card.

Obama’s "backflip to the center"

July 5, 2008

Ok, Ed Morrissey’s “backflip to the center” line about Obama is worth the price of entry alone, but read the rest of the article. Good stuff on how HRC supporters are still not drinking the Barak H. Obama Kool-Aid(TM).

No surprise here.

June 24, 2008

Salon has an article on why hardcore Hillary Rodham Clinton supporters are not warming up to Barak Obama. There are two very telling lines in the article that sums up a lot of the problems many have with the left:

…the unpleasant position in which Hillary-supporting feminists find themselves — members of a progressive party that doesn’t seem particularly interested in their progress.

They are mad that everyone believes them to be old, white and racist. They are mad at the people they thought were supposed to be progressives for treating them badly.

Bingo! The far left democrats are not interested in progress. Just look at the Obama platform. It is a return to the failed late 1970s policies of the worst president in modern history, democrat Jimmy Carter.

It also serves as a stark reminder that there is nothing more closed minded an intolerant that an open mined and tolerant liberal.

That’s gonna leave a mark…

June 15, 2008

It’s gonna be nasty in Denver when one of the elected delegates is now a McCain supporter.

As an avid supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Debra Bartoshevich is not alone in her frustration over Clinton’s defeat.

She’s not alone in refusing to support Barack Obama.

And she’s not entirely alone in saying she’ll vote this fall for Republican John McCain instead.

But what makes her unusual is that she holds these views as an elected delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver this summer. . . .

HT to Mr. Reynolds

Update: Clintons for McCain and PUMA.
Added bonus update, these words of wisdom from Glenn Reynods:

I can think of no better reason to vote against Obama than the prospect of an administration where any criticism of the President is treated as racism.
