Insight into BHO

March 22, 2009

Some our Dear Leader’s recent actions give some valuable insight into his policies and priorities. Here are three examples.

Wanting disabled vets to pick up their own tab at VA hospitals. That Jon Stewart jumped on him over this, is a clear sign that this was an incredible stupid idea. It also gives an insight into BHO’s priorities. Money for Disabled military veterans is OK to cut from the budget. $900 million for the terrorist group Hamas and billions for the vote fraud specialists at ACORN is a good place to spend US tax payer dollars.

His “gift” for the British Prime Minister. The British PM gives a thoughtful and historically significant gift designed to honor the new President. BHO gives the Prime Minister, who is blind in one eye and in danger of losing sight in his other eye, a set of DVDs. To further demonstrate the lack of thought in this gift, the DVDs are not encoded in the regional format for the UK, i.e. they won’t play in most UK DVD players. The only thing more insulting would to have included Netflicks return envelopes.

Picking Hillary Rodham Clinton as Secretary of State. From a political standpoint, it was smart move. It got her out of the Senate, where she was seen as a strong party leader. From a governing the country standpoint, it doesn’t seem that smart. How many fluent Russian speakers are there in the State Department? Enough to get the word “reset” translated properly is a pretty safe bet. HRC couldn’t find one though. The Russians have to be questioning her basic competence now. HRC is infamous for selecting staff for their personal loyalty to her above all else. Is she letting that go down to the level of picking a translator on that basis rather than competence in the Russian language? It appears so. HRC is certainly smart, and politically savvy, but foreign policy was never her strong point. BHO it seems, was more concerned about removing a political rival from a position that threatened him, than selecting a qualified individual for an important foreign policy position.

Don’t they know she’s a Kennedy!

December 18, 2008

Marcia Kramer is reporting on the less than glowing reception Caroline Kennedy, who wants to be appointed to Hillary Rodham Clinton‘s senate seat, is getting from upstate New York reporters.

Update: If Caroline Kennedy were to call for a special election and get the NY Gov. to approve it, she would probably win on name recognition alone. Her big name opponent would be Andrew Cuomo and Up Staters would probably vote for her in opposition to him.

Barak Obama’s Resume Part 2

September 24, 2008

Last time we discussed Barak Obama’s resume inflation.

Now the topic is one of his great successes.

Obama does have one major accomplishment on his record.

It is however, the Elephant (or this case jackass) in the room that no one wants to notice.

Barak Hussein Obama, and his George Soros bought and paid for team, beat the Clinton political machine in the democrat primary process.

At the start of the process, the “conventional wisdom” was that HRC was going to win early, win big, and carry all of the primaries in a massive landslide.

Team BO thought outside the box, examined the democrat primary system and gamed the system in order to defeat HRC and the Clinton political machine.

The method Team BO used, focusing on caucus states over primary election states, won’t work in the general election. So they are now sweating bullets. They are neck and neck in a race that even hard core conservatives admit that democrats should be 15%-20% ahead in.

Why is it still such a close race?

Well, perhaps it has something to do with the simple fact that besides that one accomplishment, Barry really doesn’t have much of anything of note on his resume.

Being a product of the corrupt Chicago democrat political machine (where the dead vote early and often) really isn’t much of a “selling feature” in the vast parts of America outside the urban strongholds of liberalism.

The Clinton endorsements

September 23, 2008

First, we have Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton explaining why “Community Organizer” Barak Obama should not be President, so lets take the next step and vote McCain.

Second, we have former President Bill Clinton singing the praises of Senator McCain’s running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

“I come from Arkansas, I get why she’s hot out there,” Clinton said. “Why she’s doing well.”

Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin’s appeal by adding, “People look at her, and they say, ‘All those kids. Something that happens in everybody’s family. I’m glad she loves her daughter and she’s not ashamed of her. Glad that girl’s going around with her boyfriend. Glad they’re going to get married.'”

Clinton said voters would think, “I like that little Down syndrome kid. One of them lives down the street. They’re wonderful children. They’re wonderful people. And I like the idea that this guy does those long-distance races. Stayed in the race for 500 miles with a broken arm. My kind of guy.” . . .

“I get this,” Clinton said. “My view is . . . why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don’t we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?”

Will Obama throw Biden under the bus?

September 22, 2008

The rumors are running rampant that democrat “community organizer” Barak H. Obama is going to throw his VP pick, Joe Biden (you know, the “experience” on the ticket, with 30 years of big government democrat politics in the Senate) under the same bus he threw his white grandmother and his long time pastor, the Rev Wright.

The timing is interesting, the alleged announcement is scheduled after the VP debates in early October. So if the very real possibility of Gov. Sarah Palin kicking his high taxes, big government ass concave, the Obama campaign can ditch Biden, “for health reasons” and bring in Hillary Rodham Clinton to save Barak “the Lightgiver” Obama from being beaten in November. Given the way the the democrats have been bleeding HRC supporters, that probably isn’t a bad idea, at least in the short term.

In the long term, oh how Barak Hussein Obama is going to pay for selling out Biden.

Having Hillary, and Bill, in the White House, conducting their own press releases, and having their own staff of “experienced” White House hands, is going to make every day of his four year term (ya, like HRC is going to let him run again) seem like a living Hell on Earth.

Now this could just be the fantasies of hardcore PUMAs, but it does fit the Obama pattern of throwing those close to him under the wheels of the campaign bus in his raw, naked lust for power.

Growing unrest in the HRC supporter camp

Interestingly enough, My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has data on how HRC supporters are unhappy with the Obama’s coordinated ugly smear attack against Gov. Sarah Palin.

Another HRC backer now supports McCain

September 18, 2008

From the Wall Street Journal:

In an interview Thursday, Miguel D. Lausell, a Puerto Rican businessman and longtime Democratic activist and fund-raiser, came out for Sen. McCain. While he said he doesn’t agree with all the policy positions of the Republican candidate and his running mate, Sarah Palin, Mr. Lausell added: “I find McCain to be a sound person and a man with a track record. I know where he is coming from.” Mr. Lausell had been a major backer of Bill Clinton and served as a senior political adviser to Sen. Clinton’s unsuccessful bid this year for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Mr. Lausell said he feels Sen. Obama “doesn’t really regard the Hispanic community as important.” Sen. Clinton won a large majority of the Hispanic vote in most primaries, and Latino voters are an important bloc in swing states such as Florida, Nevada and New Mexico.

Mr. Lausell cited several objections he has with Sen. Obama. “The U.S. is in a very difficult situation these days and I don’t want someone without experience at the helm,” he said. Mr. Lausell said he likes Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, but felt that if Sen. Obama was going to reach inside of Washington for a vice presidential running mate, he should have chosen Sen. Clinton, “who received 18 million votes” during the presidential primaries.

The number of Obama defections grows.

It’s official – Obama is spinning like a top

September 18, 2008

By way of Hot Air is this study on spin in the campaign.

Skillicorn has been watching out for verbal “spin”. He has developed an algorithm that evaluates word usage within the text of a conversation or speech to determine when a person “presents themselves or their content in a way that does not necessarily reflect what they know to be true”…

Each of the candidates had made speeches containing very high and very low levels of spin, according to Skillicorn’s program, depending on the occasion. In general though, Obama’s speeches contain considerably higher spin than either McCain or Clinton. For example, for their speeches accepting their party’s nomination for president, Obama’s speech scored a spin value of 6.7 – where 0 is the average level of spin within all the political speeches analysed, and positive values represent higher spin. In contrast, McCain’s speech scored -7.58, while Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention scored 0.15. Skillicorn also found that Sarah Palin’s speeches contain slightly more spin than average…

Obama’s spin level skyrockets when facing problems in the press, such as when Jeremiah Wright, the reverend of his former church, made controversial comments to the press.

“When you see these crises come along, the spin goes up,” Skillicorn says. “Obama is very good at using stirring rhetoric to deal with the issues. And it seems to work if you look at what happens in the polls afterwards.”

Of course Obama has to spin and spin hard. If he told the truth, he wouldn’t get elected.

Another Hillary Clinton supporter jumps to McCain

September 18, 2008

CNN reports:

In an interview with CNN this summer, Forester did not hide her distaste for eventual Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don’t like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC’s Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

Not just any HRC supporter, but a big money donor HRC supporter.

More and more democrats who actually look at facts are coming to the conclusion that Barak H. Obama is just an empty suit who is filled with the failed socialist policies of the George Soros bought and paid for far left extremist wing of the democrat party.

Update: HRC backer Donald Trump also joins the McCain bandwagon.

Biden lets the truth slip out

September 11, 2008

Joe Biden is a smart guy, and prone to gaffes. A bad combination. In this case, liberal ,big government, high taxes, democrat Joe Biden let the truth escape his lips:

“Make no mistake about this,” Biden responded. “Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight. She’s a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate, I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate, so let’s get that straight.”

You nailed it there Joe.
