The complete professionalism of the GW Bush White House conducting the transition with the Obama team and how the democrat Clinton White House team conducted vandalism prior to George W. Bush taking office.

Bill Clinton knows the truth

October 1, 2008

Former President Bill Clinton is a smart guy. Pay attention to what he is saying in this video.

The Clinton endorsements

September 23, 2008

First, we have Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton explaining why “Community Organizer” Barak Obama should not be President, so lets take the next step and vote McCain.

Second, we have former President Bill Clinton singing the praises of Senator McCain’s running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

“I come from Arkansas, I get why she’s hot out there,” Clinton said. “Why she’s doing well.”

Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin’s appeal by adding, “People look at her, and they say, ‘All those kids. Something that happens in everybody’s family. I’m glad she loves her daughter and she’s not ashamed of her. Glad that girl’s going around with her boyfriend. Glad they’re going to get married.'”

Clinton said voters would think, “I like that little Down syndrome kid. One of them lives down the street. They’re wonderful children. They’re wonderful people. And I like the idea that this guy does those long-distance races. Stayed in the race for 500 miles with a broken arm. My kind of guy.” . . .

“I get this,” Clinton said. “My view is . . . why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don’t we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?”

Sarah Palin is the new Clinton

September 8, 2008

Not Hillary, but Bill. Bill was a Governor who used his executive experience to counter the “Washington Insider” experience of Senators he was running against.

Bill Clinton is no blue blood. Unlike the Bush, Kennedy and Gore families, the Clintons were not multi-generational Washington, D.C. political families. He came from a humble background and worked his way into government service at the state level.

I’m not a big fan of Bill Clinton’s politics, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Unlike Al Gore or John Kerry (and Barak Obama), Bill Clinton can walk into a doughnut shop shoot the breeze with the guy behind the counter. That ability to connect to the guy (or gal) with a lunch box in the “flyover states” is something that set him apart from President GHW Bush (and is one of things that gave President GW Bush his advantage over Gore and Kerry).

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has that ability to connect as well. Senator McCain also does, but not as much as she does. The Harvard Law School trained “Community Organizer” doesn’t. That is why he is actively avoiding the Town Hall debates with Senator McCain that have been attempted all summer. Joe Biden doesn’t have it either. He’s been a big government, high taxes, Big Brother democrat in Washington, D.C. for the past 30 years.

The word is that the Clintons are not going to join the DNC and the MSM in attacking Gov. Palin. Now Hillary has her reasons, she needs Obama to loose in order to run in 2012. Perhaps one of Bill’s reasons is that he see some himself in Sarah Palin.

democrat deja vu

August 17, 2008

An Obama mouthpiece is on Meet the Press (God, I miss Tim Russert) claiming that Barak H. Obama is for “middle class tax cuts.”

I remember hearing the same thing from Billy Jeff Clinton back in 1992. The reality is that one of the first things he did (with a democrat congress) once he got in office was raise taxes across the board.

Given that Obama is long on speeches, short on details, except on how he plans on spending massive amounts of taxpayer dollars, I just can’t put much trust in any solid tax cuts from him. He is also all over the place on just where on the income scale “middle class” and “rich” are.

Spreading leftist lies

June 29, 2008

Katrina vanden Heuvel, far left editor of the Nation keeps repeating the liberal mantra that “we are not any safer than we were 7 years ago” on former BJ Clinton staffer, George Swaythepopulus’ show.

This is clearly false. Seven years ago Islamofascists where slamming airliners into the World Trade Centers. Since then, Islamofascists have been restricted to fighting the US military on battlefields on someone else’s real estate.

Reality just isn’t part of the far left liberal’s mindset.

Evening quotes

June 28, 2008

“If we have to use force, it is because we are American. We are the indispensable nation. We stand tall. We see further into the future.” — Madeleine Albright in 1998, when she was Bill Clinton‘s Secretary of State.

“It’s clear that the true problems of our Nation are much deeper – deeper than gasoline lines of energy shortages, deeper even than inflation or recession. And I realize more than ever that as President I need your help. So, I decided to reach out and listen to the voices of America.” – democrat President Jimmy Carter

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” — Republican President Teddy Roosevelt.

“The public understands that Republicans want to fight terrorists, but Democrats only want to fight Republicans.” — Ace

“I voted for the Democrats because I didn’t like the way the Republicans were running the country. Which is turning out to be like shooting yourself in the head to stop your headache.” — Jack Mayberry

Obama’s bait and switch scam

June 13, 2008

Barak Obama is betting that his supporters can’t do basic math or are actually are in favor of massive tax hikes.
The New England Republican points out that Obama is stealing a page from Bill Clinton‘s playbook, promising a tax cut to get elected. He also reminds us of what actually happened once Billy Jeff Clinton got in the White House.

Bill Clinton’s middle class tax cut turned into the largest retroactive tax increase in our history. A quick look at Obama’s web site tells you the same has to happen here. For example, along with the tax cut, he promises:

* A national healthcare plan
* More drugs and coverage for seniors
* Funding for Zero to Five education
* A $4,000 tax credit for college kids
* More teacher pay
* And on and on it goes….

But the reality nobody wants to face is that we can’t do everything. You can run around yelling “Believe in change!” all you want, but as John Adams pointed out “facts are stubborn things.” Just ask Massachusetts residents about Deval Patrick’s property tax relief if you want to know what happens when a snake oil salesman tries to sell you “change”.

Quite simply, the stubborn fact is that Obama can’t deliver on all his promises and the tax cut will be jettisoned faster than you can say Trinity Church.

Barak Obama has promised to raise the Capital Gains tax, even though he knows that it will result in less revenue collected by the Feds. He wants to take the cap off the Social Security payroll tax, he wants to reinstate the Bill Clinton income tax increases, and the list goes on. Obama wants Change alright, you however, won’t be left with change in your pockets.

Bill Clinton linked to Communist Chinese crackdowns in Tibet

April 13, 2008

According to the LA Times, “A firm that has donated to the president’s charity is accused of collaborating with the government in its crackdown on Tibetan activists.”

File under hardly surprising. Billy Jeff Clinton has never had a problem taking money from the Communist Chinese government before. At least now he isn’t handing over US Military secrets for the cash.

Paglia nails Hillary

April 9, 2008

Camille Paglia sums up Clintonism:

The compulsive war-room mentality of both Clintons is neurosis writ large. The White House should not be a banging, rocking washer perpetually stuck on spin cycle. Many Democrats, including myself, have come to doubt whether Hillary has any core values or even a stable sense of identity. With her outlandish fibbing and naive self-puffery, her erratic day-to-day changes of tone and message, her glassy, fixed smiles, and her leaden and embarrassingly unpresidential jokes about pop culture, she has started to seem like one of those manic, seductively vampiric patients in trashy old Hollywood hospital flicks like “The Snake Pit.” How anyone could confuse Hillary’s sourly cynical, male-bashing megalomania with authentic feminism is beyond me.
