BHO boosts sales of Atlas Shrugged

February 27, 2009

Since our Dear Leader has taken office and made his socialist agenda clear, sales of Ayn Rand’s classic Atlas Shrugged have more than tripled.

Keep in mind that BHO won with a razor thin margin in an election with an average turnout. He stirred up his base, a good chunk of the right of center base stayed home and moderates in the middle seemed to have bought into the message of “change” not just being different than G.W. Bush, but somehow would be better. Now they are finding out that “change” can be worse, much worse. The democrats policies will stir up the conservative Republican base better than McCain could and alienate the moderate center. The campaign for the 2010 (and 2012) elections have alreadys started.

Population shift may affect 2012 election

December 23, 2008

It looks like the 2010 Census will cause a reallocation of Congressional House seats, and a corresponding shift in Electoral College votes.

The big winner is Texas, which is likely to gain three new seats in the House of Representatives. Other states would gain single seats. Those being Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Utah.

The losers are Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. All are on track to loose a single seat.

Except for Iowa, all of the states loosing a seat have majority democrat congressional delegations. In the case of Massachusetts, the entire delegation consists of far left extremist liberal democrats.

The states gaining seats all went Republican in 2000 and 2004.

This trend in population shift is continuing. It is possible for more House seats to shift by the time the 2010 Census is counted.

Update: Welcome Instapundit readers (and thanks for the grammar tip ;->)
Could this be why our Dear Leader wants to bring control of the upcoming 2010 Census directly into the White House and out of the non-partisan control of the Commerce department?

Samizdata.net blog asks a very good question.

Is a White House take over of the census constitutional?

Sunday Morning Talk Shows

August 3, 2008

Former democrat operative George Swaythepopulas gave democrat Speaker of the House “San Fran Nan” Pelosi (Worst. Speaker. Ever.) free rein to spout her talking points.

Meet the Press had Senator Lieberman (moderate, sane democrat and McCain supporter) debating Senator John Kerry (far left democrat billionaire who only pays federal tax at a 12% rate, and Barak H. Obama supporter).

Update: democrat Tom Daschle, a major Obama supporter, is on Fox News Sunday. Daschle is a lying weasel. He always has been, always will be. Daschle lies boldly and with a straight face. The truth is not part of that man’s genetic makeup.

The lone Right of Center member of the Meet the Press round table made a what is probably a highly accurate prediction. He predicted that Hillary Clinton will make a good speech at the DNC, not a great speech, but a good speech. Then, in November, she will vote for John McCain.
That does make sense based on her over riding goal to take control of the White House. Her best bet to inflict her socialist policies on America is to run in 2012. She needs Senator John McCain to win in 2008 for that to happen.

Check the temperature in Satan’s summer cottage. Juan Williams is agreeing with Bill Kristol on how Obama screwed the pooch by repeatedly playing the race card.
