Quote of the Day

“It’s not that the democrats are playing checkers and the Republicans are playing Chess. It’s that the Republicans are playing Chess and the democrats are in the Nurse’s office because once again they have glued their balls to their thighs.”

— Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart

So Stewart is saying that the Republicans won in Massachusetts because the democrats not only dropped the ball, they dug a hole and buried it.

One of the key factors in the democrat’s success in the 2008 and 2006 elections was the Republicans going out of their way to piss off their core voters.

So, political victory appears not to depend on the excellence of one party over the other, but the greater incompetence of their opponents.
